Mid Valley Airpark (E98) Los Lunas, NM

Flew south of stinky fire TFR, cleared mountain @ 9500ft MSL and landed @ Mid Valley. Not much here, but we'll be back to fly over 1st timing line. Denise shot the picture at altitude with Sandia peak in the background.

The ladies continue to drill Southward with a slight diversion over a peak near Sandia to get away from the relentless smoke from a forest fire in Northern, New Mexico. Nice little community near the airpark, a gas pump, and a porta-potty is pretty much the extent of the lonely little airport.

A local jogger from the airpark offered up water and snacks and was as kind as could be. The crew has about 250 nautical miles to go and are shooting for a mid-day arrival into Prescott. Teresa's family is driving up from Phoenix to greet the duo and join in some of the race start festivities.
