Warrensburg, MO (KRCM)

Two Bills greeted us in Warrensburg. Little Bill is trying to fix our A/C

It was beautiful weather to greet the Purple Hearts at Skyhaven airfield in Warrensburg, MO. A few light clouds dusted the sky with a slight gusty high pressure haze for a perfect fly-by.

This is a typical timing tent. The flight crew announces about 10 miles out that they intend to fly-by to end a leg. They set up as quickly as possible, point the plane toward the runway and pass in front of the tent at about 200 feet above ground level. It is a somewhat unusual position for regular pilotage since the ladies are pushing full throttle all the way to the ground instead of pulling back to land as normal. When the team leaves, they announce their intent for a fly-by and set-up a few miles out and zip by again, this time STARTING the clock for the next leg.
