Last Minute Weather Adventure

Microburst over the field spun some aircraft. We had to adjust chains and readjust nose strut. One plane had a vertical bird strike!

The Air Race Classic had volunteers send out email and stationed people in the resort lobby so as to catch any pilots going out to dinner that they airport had had a 'Microburst' weather event and all planes had to be immediately inspected for damage by each team. One team lost a cover, a few were shifted around and tight on their chains like ours but otherwise the planes seemed mostly fine. The Air Race tent however was blown down along with the pretty outdoor lamp which was busted too. Just a freakish reminder that mother nature doesn't care who you are or what you want to do ... she will ALWAYS have the last word.
