St. Louis at last!

The pilots and plane made it safe and sound to St. Louis, Missouri - the Gateway to the West! The last leg was a breeze as the Purple Hearts flew straight and true and touched down just before 19:00H Central Time.

Despite a few weather glitches the crew happily completed approximately 900 nautical miles towards the race start point in Prescott, Arizona. As per plan, Teresa and Denise were greeted in Saint Louis's Spirit airport (KSUS) by current and past members of the Women in Aviation, Women with Wings group, The ladies are going to share in some well deserved down-time, a dinner out with the gang, and finally a soft pillow to close the long day. Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Note: Updates may be a little more sporadic on 6/16/2016 due to travel black-out periods as I too make my West to greet the team at the race start point. - Editor

    1. At 630 feet tall - believe me it is an obvious temptation ... at least to SIM pilots. Sec. 91.119 of the FAA rules mandates minimum safe altitudes as 1000 feet over congested space (like cities). It has been done illegally on at least 6 times but if the pilots were ever identified they would lose their license and in our world today face serious security and reckless operation legal ramifications. -ed
