We earned another race charm at the banquet last night. We are enjoying a nice breakfast together. This is the final day of preparation and mandatory meetings for all the racers to know the route, the procedures and the race time penalties if they fail to follow the rules. It is exciting, nerve wracking, boring, and everything in-between.
The team was in good spirits. On the way to Embry Riddle, the scenery here is gorgeous even with an expansive lake. Yes it is very hot (around 90 degrees F at 9am local time) but it is dry so if we avoid the direct sun for extended periods of time, it is arid and generally pleasant.
